Heist 3 Has Begun

For those of you who don't know, Heist 3 has begun. If you haven't already completed it, you're in for a lot of fun. Good luck.

For now, think carefully...

Another Challenge

Congratulations to the commenters on the previous post, the obvious thing was that it was not a real heist! However, there is now a real mini-heist up at http://macheist.com/stuckintheamazon/. Good look with finding the apps.

For now, think carefully...

P.S. Yes I have removed the tags from the posts. No, this is nothing to do with MacHeist, it was just a bit of a pain putting them in on all the new posts so I decided to get rid of them completely. Keep your questions for Hubert coming in.

The End of Heist 2

Heist 2 is over and a new challenge awaits you. For those of you who don't know, look at http://whatistheamazon.com. While progress has been quite good, you are missing something quite obvious. Unfortunately for you, I am not allowed to tell you what it is, besides, that would spoil the fun. Keep an eye out here for more tips.

Also, Hubert will soon be available for another interview. Leave your questions in the comments and I will see which ones the Directorate will allow me to ask him. There won't be any abrupt stops this time.

For now, think carefully...

A Little More Clarification

Cassiel has made some more posts saying that he wasn't the one who posted the Hubert comments. Whether you believe him or not is irrelevant; the comments were not made by the real Hubert*. I can't tell you who did post the fake comments as they are outside of the Directorate and things could get worse if I did investigate who it was.

For now, think carefully...

A Little Clarification...

For those of you who haven't read the zotadmin post on the MacHeist forums, I thought I better point this out to you. A user called Cassiel said this:

Okay, I think it's time for me to clean it up.
15 pages of thoughts are enough.

It was fun seeing all you guys trying to solve this "heist" or "puzzle", or whatever. There's nothing real behind that. I've managed to get some friends and contacts through AIM together who helped me out doing this.

All the GPS coordinates you've seen were taken from different Google sightseeing websites on the net. Me and my friends managed to comment on blogs using different IP addresses and comments. Everyone who had a post on their website copied it into the forum. That's of course why we wrote comments like "remember rule 1", etc.

I never thought you guys would take it for real, but only some of you thought about this is a fake. Thanks for your patience and happy thanksgiving to all people who live in the US.

Oh and please don't be angry. It was hard work to manage this and I think you also had fun. Good luck for the next real heist.

I would just like to point out that this does not mean that Cassiel made this blog. Nor does it mean that anything he said is true. Also, I would like to point out that I didn't comment on any of the blogs and that the comments were not made by the real Hubert either*. This is also the reason why I didn't pose all of your questions to Hubert (along with the lack of time I had talking to him). This was shown in that last post where Hubert said that he had not posted the GPS coordinates for the large female organ/smile.

I hope this clears up some of the confusion that some people seem to be in after all of this.

P.S. I think Cassiel and his friends did a very good job of tricking people into believing the comments that he left. I guess that's partly due to the nature of the competition.

For now, think carefully...

A Chat with Hubert

I have contacted Hubert and asked him some of your questions, along with some of my own. He answered some, but then abruptly left. I think the Directorate didn't like the amount/type of information he gave out. Anyway, here is a transcript. I'll try and contact him again later if you have some more questions (probably won't be able to get through until Heist 3 has started, apparently he's quite a busy monkey...):

Me: Hello Hubert.
Hubert: Hello.
Me: Are you ready for your interview?
Hubert: Yes, I am. Ask away.
Me: Did you litter the banana peels?
Hubert: Not all of them of course. There's far too many in the world to do that. But some I did.
Me: What is your favorite pet?
Hubert: I don't have any.
Me: Why did you leave us a GPS coordinate to view a gigantic female organ/smile?
Hubert: I didn't.
Me: Why doesn't zotadmin.com work?
Hubert: Are you sure it doesn't?
Me: How do I get the second key?
Hubert: By looking and thinking carefully.
Me: Who are you close to?
Hubert: As the saying goes, my friends are close, but my enemies are closer.
Me: Can you elaborate on that?
Hubert: Yes.
Me: Will you elaborate on that?
Hubert: I'm not allowed to at this moment in time.
Me: Okay. What are your favorite numbers?
Hubert: Hmm... Let's think... I have quite a few, but my top 5 would probably be...
Hubert: 8216518224
Hubert: 6413192218
Hubert: 6129
Hubert: 3407

What Questions Would You Ask Hubert?

What questions would you like to ask Hubert? Leave them in the comments and I'll see which ones I can give the answers for (I can't give too much away...).

For those of you who missed out on Sillysoft's excellent American History Lux game download at the end of the search for Hubert and didn't get it in the Mini-Heist, type this in your browser:
